Digital marketing has reached the point that it can no longer be overlooked. In today’s climate, companies must be active online in order to succeed. Social media, search advertising, streaming content, customer acquisition and pay per click advertising have helped make the internet a hot bed. Companies are aware of how powerful digital marketing can be. Here is a look at some upcoming digital marketing trends that will impact how businesses operate.

The Rise of Omnichannel Marketing

Omnichannel marketing helps bring together multiple channels, which creates a universal user experience. Consumers will be able to engage with different brands across multiple channels. Research has shown that only a small percentage of consumers shop exclusively through one medium. Most consumers are seeking an omnichannel shopping experience. That’s why companies should look to display their products everywhere that they can. Putting their products in different places allows companies to increase their brand recognizability. Having a consistent presence across multiple channels also allows customers to build familiarity with the brand. Companies can engage customers more consistently.

Video Content

Millions of people engage with YouTube every day. Most of the recent content uploaded to YouTube is digital marketing focused. Video digital marketing has become an influential part of social media. The innovative metrics of social media make it easier for companies to analyze how specific things are performing. Uploading a video to YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media site allows companies to show off their personality on video.

Chatbots

Part of the reason that social media is so popular is because it gives people the opportunity to interact with others. However, many companies are now choosing to install a chatbot on their website to interact with customers on their terms. Chatbots have evolved over the years by being able to hold a conversation with people and answer inquiries as if they were a human customer support representative. Chatbots are very beneficial to companies because they can assist visitors and instantly answer their questions.

Personalized Marketing

Personalized marketing involves companies creating a unique user experience by sending customers a message that directly addresses their needs. Consumers almost universally agree that personalized marketing allows them to build a stronger relationship with a brand. Research also shows that consumers are more likely to purchase a product if they have received a personalized experience. Sites like Google use personalized marketing campaigns to figure out what consumers like, which allows them to provide recommendations.

Artificial Intelligence Continues to Evolve

Over the next year, Artificial Intelligence is expected to enhance customer segmentation, click tracking, and push notifications. More companies are starting to use Artificial Intelligence for product recommendations and campaign optimization. This trend has led to increased sales. Companies are also using AI to help improve the customer experience, as well as different products and services. AI also helps companies develop personalized marketing plans, which allows them to generate better leads.
