In our first episode of the Emerging Growth Exchange, I spoke with Peter Scott, the Chief Operating Officer of cloud automation and management solution provider, DivvyCloud, about the challenges that he faces trying to increase awareness and drive sales pipeline for the company. During our discussion, Peter discussed his need to operate in the shadow of larger players in the space, while operating with fewer resources and a smaller marketing budget.
Our next guest on the Exchange – Gayle Weiswasser – also faces this, among other challenges.
Gayle Weiswasser is the head of marketing, communications and social media at Homesnap. Based in the DC region, Homesnap has created an application available for both Android and Apple mobile devices that enables home seekers to find the next place that they’ll rest their heads. And their premium service empowers real estate agents to more effectively show, sell and find homes for their clients.
However, Homesnap faces competition for users from some large players in a similar space – many of which have large marketing budgets and much more brand awareness and recognition.
We brought Gayle onto the program to talk about Homesnap, some of the unique marketing challenges she faces trying to gain users and market share in a crowded real estate application market, and some of the exciting and innovative tools she’s using to accomplish her marketing and sales goals.
