Yesterday’s Salesforce World Tour brought nearly 3,000 attendees to the Walter E. Washington convention center in Washington D.C.
The event kicked off at 8:30am in the Cloud Expo, where live demos and product demonstrations continued throughout the day, and mid-morning featured an inspirational keynote from Vivek Kundra, executive vice president of industries at Salesforce.
“We have customers who want to change,” acknowledged Kundra. “And we have the technology to help them.”
The importance of agility and innovation were hot topics of conversation at the Salesforce World Tour. Exciting new Salesforce functionalities and platforms were revealed at the event, such as the Wave Analytics Cloud.
“The days of big companies beating out small companies are over,” stated Kundra. “Now the fast beat out the slow.”
John Sisson, managing partner at Rainmaker Associates, a leading Salesforce consultancy based in Reston, Virginia, predicted that marketing automation and integration tools were going to be the main focus of the event. He turned out to be right.
Early afternoon drew a large crowd to an informative session on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Salesforce experts stressed the importance of reaching your mobile customers in a highly personal way.
“Behind every connected device there is a customer. If you don’t provide personalized, smarter and faster service, somebody else will.”
With a variety of in-depth sessions to choose from throughout the event, live product demos and Salesforce experts on-hand to provide guidance, there is no doubt that attendees left the Salesforce World Tour with greater knowledge of the Salesforce platform and the tools to experience higher levels of success with the products.
The next Salesforce World Tour event is set to take place on June 18th in New York City. Registration is free, so sign up today!
